During the July 2010 trip, an SCW team renovated la Escuela Concepcion de Pineda in the very small and rural community of las Piletas, Honduras.  This one classroom school houses a kindergaten with 11 students and a primary school with 47 students.  There is only 1 teacher for both the kindergarten and primary school. The village is so remote that there is no electricity or cell phone service in the area.

The team worked with the local community to renovate the school in 2 days.  Together, they repaired roof leaks and painted the inside and outside of the building.  SCW also donated school supplies to the students.
